Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

My Fiancé and I scheduled a snorkeling trip the day before, and the check in process the day of was quick and painless. The trip was amazing! As a first timer I couldn't have asked for a better crew. They were extremely knowledgeable, kind, and funny. I would recommend them to anyone! They even gave us other ideas for stuff to do around the island. 10/10 would recommend 😁

My husband and I really enjoyed snorkeling with Pirates Cove and the crew that was on the boat! They made it a really fun time, and were very helpful with the snorkeling gear and wildlife on the reef. definitely recommend!!

What a fantastic trip! Katie was a very knowledgeable captain and did well helping us understand how to have the best experience. Witnessed beautiful wildlife, and they had wetsuits to rent to help curb the low air temps that day. Would absolutely do again! Thank you to Pirates cove and Katie for a memory we will reflect on for years to come!
