Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview
Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Captain Russel was great! He gave us some history about Marvin Adams and science lessons about the mangroves along the way. We went out with a small group of 6. The water clarity was perfect and we were able to see sting rays, several species of fish including several large barracudas. We were able to see the Christ of the Abyss statue and went to two reefs, both reef conditions were amazing. You can BYOB as well. Would definitely recommend this half day snorkeling adventure.

This trip to a coral reef was a well-run tour. Captain John was professional, and the crew member who helped everyone with equipment was very interested in the guests having a safe and rewarding experience in the water snorkeling. We observed him take extra care with some beginners. Note: the trip back was a little cold because we didn't bring a sweatshirt or something warm to put on facing the winds on the boat returning to port. Don't make our mistake!
