Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

We did the adventure package which allowed us to jet ski, parasail, snorkel and paddle board all in one awesome day. The snorkeling was definitely the highlight among lots of great moments. First mate , Mike Cutler was very helpful and entertaining. He knew his business and I felt safe the entire trip. I am sure that our whole group had a wonderful time.

My girlfriend and I visited Miami for my birthday and rented a car to drive down to Key Largo for the Half Day Snorkeling Trip. The staff Mike, Russ, And Rick were very informative, attentive, and even had some cute dad jokes 😂. It was my first time, and Mike made me feel very safe and comfortable. I even saw a shark and didn't freak out because of his assurance! The reef we went to was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, and I'm so happy I got to do it on my birthday! Overall, this was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had, and I can't wait to do it again!

We were hurried, rushed and not at all on vacation mindset when we arrived, but the amazing team at Pirate Cove immediately our our worries to rest. Our snorkel trip with Captain Pete and First Mate Hadrian was first class. The best safety briefing we ever had (not kidding!) and a great day of snorkeling. They were full of local information, and we watched them handle seasick tourists, embolden kids to snorkel with the sharks and work tirelessly to make everyone’s day perfect!
