Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

I was not advised that the trip to the reef was cancelled for the bad wind until I was on the boat. I did the check in a é nobody told me that the trip was to see the mangroves. Few fishes nothing special. I wouldn’t had driver for 3 hours if I had known before

The team at Pirate Cove Watersports went above and beyond to be accommodating for my family. The seas happened to be very rough and not suitable for my young nephew. The team at Pirate Cove allowed us to simply exchange our snorkeling experience for a sunset cruise on a day that was convenient for my family. The team is transparent, welcoming, and will help you if run into any logistical issues. 10/10 would recommend.

It was a beautiful day great guides ! Little choppy. My companions loved it whereas I got sea sick . The guides were a little corney but all were very nice and informative took the time to answer all questions
