If you just want to take a cute pic and head back, this might not be the experience for you. This tour requires you to be involved, but specially not take yourself too seriously. The day my wife and I went, it was cloudy and it rained. However, Dan and Dustin made sure we had a good time. Whether it was Dustin's dad jokes, or Dan looking out for us, they made us feel like family.
We started by kayaking on a river and continued onto the ocean making our way to a secluded beach where we had lunch. There was a couple that wasn't too into kayaking and were trailing really far behind. Dustin made sure to stay with them, and instead of making everyone miss out, they split the group in two. This way we could have people that wanted to go a bit faster go on with Dan.
Once we got to the beach we snorkeled by a reef and saw so many different kinds of tropical fish. We even saw some turtles while kayaking! Thankfully while we were at the beach the sun came out, and it stayed out while we were there. On the way back they gave us the option to go on the "easy side" or the side where the waves were breaking. Knowing we wanted to get the full experience, we opted for the waves. After riding a few waves and getting too confident, the inevitable happened and we flipped. The split second of fear was quickly replaced by the hilarious fact that we could just stand up since the water was just up to our knees.
Our tour guides were great sources of information on Kauai history, points of interest, and great places to eat.
My advice, just have fun!

Aloha Francisco,
You made me want to go on our Hanalei Blue Lagoon paddle and snorkel. Seems you had a fun and challenging good time on this tour.
We do only go as fast as the slowest paddler(s) and when we do have slower folks, that is where the guide(s) can be creative and split up the group so everyone can have fun.
Dan and Dustin are not only safe and informative, ...but hilarious at times. They are truly funny guys! I truly enjoy working with them. Glad you enjoyed them as well.
Good omen that you saw the company totem, i.e. the turtle; we go slow but get there.
Stay paddling and keep safe. Thanks for sharing.
A hui hou,
