We had a wonderful experience with Carolyn D. Johnson of Welcome to Harlem for a walking tour around Harlem and
visiting the Memorial Baptist Church, and listening to the choir and prayer. The history of Harlem was so interesting and
unforgettable. Also lunch at the Sexy Taco Dirty Cash Café on Malcolm X Street , then guided to the local bus stop to get back
into New York. Thank you Carolyn.

The best tour of the City. We had a lovely tour guide, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. The church service was awesome! Had the biggest pancake forvbrunch. I would do this tour again definitely.

Even though the day was overcast, our tour guide Carolyn was bright and sunny. Her knowledge of the neighborhood she lives there adds a great color especially as her neighbors recognize her on the street. I truly knew nothing about Harlem but because my Dutch ancestors arrived here a few hundred years ago, I thought maybe it would be a good time to walk their walk. It was a real history lesson and seeing how this area has transformed itself over and over is inspiring. Even though the church we attended was having an unexpected event limited how much we could see and the time we spent there, we were able to get a flavor of their faith community. Thank goodness that Carolyn was our guide...she helped other tour groups because of the unexpected delay. After our tour, she took us to a restaurant that made me wonder.... Wonder no more! Irrespective of its name, Sexy Tacos, it was a fusion of Latin-Soul and some southern! A great surprise. At the end of the tour, she pointed some of us who were still hungry to see things in the direction of downtown and we literally walked 15 minutes to Central Park. Beautiful day in Harlem! A hidden bargain of a tour!
