Soul Food is traditional African American cuisine that originated in the South in the United States. Today it has become a highly sought after cuisine. It consists of spicy ribs, collard greens, fried fish and chicken, freshly cooked corn bread, and a few side dishes like black eye peas, okra, or macaroni and cheese to mention a few.
Guests are invited to take walks through the neighborhoods visited. The average walk is about 15 minutes.
With advance notice, wheelchair bound customers with some mobility can be accommodated in the front rows of the tour bus with their wheelchairs folded away in the luggage compartment. It is mandatory that someone accompany customers with special needs to assist them onto the coach.
For passengers with no mobility or a non foldable wheelchairs we recommend giving at least 3 weeks notice so that we can secure a coach with a wheelchair lift.
Wheelchair lifts are 49" X 28" and can carry a maximum weight limit of 700lbs. We kindly ask that you submit the dimensions and model of the chair as our lift may not be able to accommodate scooters and other large sized electric chairs. A maximum of one person in a wheelchair can be accommodated per bus.
Many of the churches that we visit have steps. In order to accommodate their wheelchair bound congregation members churches use portable mobility ramps.

What a fantastic experience!! Our guide, Sheila, did an exceptional job of giving us lots of information about New York, Harlem and surrounding areas. She gave historical and current information in an interesting and intriguing way. She is very charming and well informed! We went to a Sunday morning service at a Pentacostal church! What music! What energy!! What enthusiasm! And so welcoming! A fabulous, fabulous morning!! Thank you!

Don't waste your time or money... Uncomfortable bus and ridiculously amateur personnel!! F- Do yourself a favor and take the subway to Harlem and walk in any church you want for free.

Dear Gordonintx, We are surprised that you posted such a disparaging review when you did not even take our tour!! We use deluxe coaches that are standard for sightseeing with normal-sized seats. As for our personnel, it seems that you were more interested in taking pictures of our location to post this unfair review rather than listening to the solutions that we were providing. The bus that you initially boarded was not completely full. Yet, we held up the last bus just for you on which you would have had 2 seats to yourself but you had already made the decision to get off the previous bus leaving the rest of your party on board before we even got started to get a refund. Our policy clearly states that no-shows and last-minute cancellations are non-refundable. Advising visitors to just walk into any church is really disrespectful and irresponsible. We take pride in the relationships that we have developed with pastors and congregations over the last 30 years. In addition to communication with the churches beforehand regarding our participation in the services; we also impart the history of the church and information on the order of the services so that visitors are not disruptive to the worshiping congregants. Furthermore, the service is only one component of the experience. We discuss history, culture, art, architecture and visit Harlem; one of NewYork City's most famed neighborhoods.
