Frieda's tour was the highlight of my trip to New York. It was very interesting to visit the Satmar Hasidic community in Williamsburg and learn about their traditions and way of life from someone who grew up there and has since left. Frieda has an insider's perspective and answered all our questions honestly and openly. I learned so much and have a greater respect for the Hasidic community as a result. I wish the tour had been longer- I could have listened to Frieda's stories all day!

We absolutely loved our tour of Hasidic Williamsburg. Frieda was incredible, she gave us more than facts, but shared her experience as a former resident of this community with a candor that was at once respectful yet amazingly personal and honest. Her insider understanding coupled with her hindsight makes her a brilliant guide. She made us all feel right at home. She found the right balance. We've taken tours all over the world. This was definitely one of the best. Go.

In this world filled with constant tension between forces of tradition and forces of change, this tour in the heart of gentrifying Williamsburg, allows you to learn the why's, why not's, the traditions, the struggles and strengths of the Hasidic community... all carefully and honestly narrated by someone who grew up being a part of it. Frieda is an amazing tour guide and she represents one of those hard to find amazing interlocutors between cultures and different ways of being and knowing that we so much need to advance tolerance, respect, empathy and hope. I would highly recommend the tour! The pastries and savories added a great plus!
