This was a very long tour and was a nice loop around the entire island in one day. We did enjoy the different microclimates and especially loved looking at the lava at both of the volcanoes at night time. There is a lot of driving so be prepared and take Bonine if you get car sick (I needed it and was glad to have it on our tour). Our tour guide Derek (not sure on the spelling) was amazing. He was relaxed and educated us on volcanoes along the way to help pass the time. When we went to the Caldera he even set up a telescope to see the lava lake better. I loved watching the turtles on the beach and the steam vents and lava tube the most. There is plenty of food/snacks but it doesn’t hurt to bring your own or a bottle of water if you have a preference on something in particular since it is a long day and does include two meals.

Aloha! We love getting detailed reviews like yours! When you are so informative, it really helps our future guests make a decision. We are so appreciative that you took the time to write as much as you did and share the highlights that you enjoyed the most. Everyone's opinions differ but we tend to find that there is little divination from opinions on our Deluxe Volcano Experience. Especially right now with both volcanoes active, the consensus is, "TAKE THIS TOUR!" Mahalo and may you enjoy many more adventures!
