Four of us organized a high school reunion for 70 classmates in this area a year ago and amongst the activities we offered was the Savor Healdsburg Tour. We were busy with organizing activities so we didn't get to participate but we sent approx. 20 people to the tour and they RAVED. So my wife called Tammy and asked if we could arrange a tour for ourselves and another couple to see for ourselves. While I'm not a gourmet cook, I consider myself something of a foodie and a winey and I have my friends buffaloed into thinking I'm very knowledgeable about food/cooking. So, with a bit of knowledge under my belt, I tell you that this tour knocked it out of the park. Others have waxed eloquent about the places Tammy arranged for them to visit. I second every positive review previously written with emphasis. Not only is Tammy a charming host, the places visited were outstanding...from Shed to Cafe Lucia (wonderful owner with a great story) to Portalupi wines done in Italian style (vs napa or Sonoma style) to Bravas. You've got to see the size of the paella pans Bravas uses on their outdoor wood burning burners. The food was over the top. Interestingly, however, the stop that had us all scratching our heads about its inclusion in the tour...The Taste Of Tea, a tea house, proved, in my estimation, to be the most interesting and informative stop on the tour. I'll never look at tea the same again. To say we'll be back would be an understatement. We plan to go back to these restaurants on an individual visit basis but we will also plan another tour with Tammy. We'd love for our friends from the Bay Area to meet this charming lady and take advantage of her knowledge and grace. Tammy, we'll be back. Aloha, John and Carolyn....and our friends George and Toast. (Yes, that's her name. Long story.)

Tammy Gass of Savor Healdsburg knows how to plan an incredible food tour. We loved every one of the 6 stops that we a part of our food experience. Each stop was unique, and we loved the interactions with the owners/staff. You will not regret taking this culinary delight.

We were coming out to California for what was at least partially supposed to be a food and wine tour. There are many "Taste of XXXX" tours available, but most of those are heavy on sweets and breads. There are some which do have actual food but those can be outrageously expensive. The Gourmet tour of Healdsburg is the exception. $89 per person is not exactly cheap but the tour delivers enough value to make it worthwhile. It is amazing h9w much there is in a small town like Healdsburg. We started at eh the SHED, a farmer's cooperative, then went to a Portugese restaurant, a wine tasting room,a restaurant where they served us Tapas, and finally to a bakery for dessert. There were only the two of us on the tour that day (April 6). Leslie was our guide and she was great. We had to dodge rain showers but managed to stay dry. One warning: Parking near the SHED is very difficult. A company with 300 people has recently come into town and their cars occupy most of the street spaces and the lot across the street. We drove around for 15 minutes fruitlessly looking for a place, then called Tammy, the owner, and she suggested a nearby street where we did find a place.
