Farmers markets and farm-to-table restaurants are always on my radar, so imagine my delight upon discovering Savor Healdsburg. Despite adverse weather conditions, we were able to weave our way through light rain showers, and had a delightful walking tour with our generous guide, Tammy. We started out at Shed (what a gem) and wandered through town sampling Spanish tapas, Portuguese cuisine, Gustafson's family wines, a Japanese tea lounge, and ended up with an exquisite dessert. The tour is well-organized, *delicious*, informative, inspiring, and we were not rushed. Our group was just the right size (about 12 of us total). Healdsburg is a lovely town, so plan to walk around if you have time.

We really enjoyed our food and wine walking tour in Healdsburg with Tammy. We found her very informative and interesting: she personally knew many of the founders and/or owners of the places we visited, which added a lot of depth and local color. She accommodated the seafood allergies of two in our group with aplomb where all of us got extra food to enjoy. We visited six places: Shed, where we enjoyed vegetarian food; Cafe Lucia, where we ate Portuguese food and tried vinho verde; Portalupi, where we wine tasted: a Taste of Tea, where we drank different teas and had green tea ice cream; Bravas, where we had tapas and sangria; and Moustache Bakery, where we picked up a pastry of our choice. This was a wonderful introduction to Healdsburg, and I would definitely go on another of Tammy's tours if she had other places for us to try.

We were prepared for a typical introduction to local food and wine, but Tammy has developed good relationships with the owners. Tours may vary, of course, but started at SHED with great hors d'oeuvre foods, outrageously delicious macaroni and cheese at Cafe Lucia, Cafe Bravas served up tasty tapas, we enjoyed the wine at Portalupi, including the relatively unique option for their red table wine to refill the milk bottle container, and found the Taste of Tea unique, wonderful, and thankfully not filling! Last stop was Moustache Baked Goods, thankfully we had a carry-out option since we were stuffed at this point (even though we never finished all the food on offer at any of the earlier restaurants, portions were abundant), but later enjoyed their unique cupcakes. Tammy was knowledgeable about the background of each business and did a wonderful job as guide and hostess. She also provided great advice for other places to visit, and was a wonderful resource. I would happily return.
