Overview

The ultimate multi activity package: a helicopter tour, a dogsled tour and a landing on the lower glacier to explore the melt pools and crevasses.

Start this adventure with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team.

After the tour the helicopter takes you to the lower glaciers where you will land on the hard ice between the crevasses to see the majestic blue melt pools.

Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 250 pounds including clothing and luggage will be required to pay a surcharge of $150. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.

We have done many helicopter trips but this was the BEST one ever! Landing on the upper glacier, meeting the champion dogs and dogsled run was awesome enough but we were then offered the lower glacier landing to add on to our return. Words can’t describe how fantastic this experience is PLEASE do it! Afterwards, our pilot Ben gave us the full ‘Top Gun’ run home through the valley where we saw moose and bald headed eagles. An experience never to be forgotten.

It is the best experience we ever had in our lives. It is filled with cinematic views and gave a feeling that as if we were on a different planet. Helicopter pilot was very nice. People at dog sled also were wonderful. I recommend this trip.

The helicopter ride alone was worth the price, but then the dogs set this trip above and beyond my expectations! You get to meet your dogs and learn about their experiences, give them all the scratches, and then hold puppies! A great day trip from Anchorage.
