This was a great tour. Our guide, Keith, was a legend. A tree had blocked the landing site and was threatening to end our tour before the hike to the waterfall even started. Out he jumps with his trusty knife to literally carve his way through the branches! Crisis averted and we were on our way. Relatively easy kayak and hike. Lot's of mud so don't wear your brand new runners. Super fun and you really feel like you've been in touch with nature.

Such a fun day! We were shuttled to the river where the kayaks were waiting. Our guide Rachel was informative and personable and was assisted by another great guide (sadly I can't remember his name). They gave us waterproof bags to hold our things along with a cooler filled with our lunches (sandwiches, pasta salads, brownies, and plenty of drinks). We then took off down the river. We heard lots of Hawaiian stories and learned a lot of interesting facts. At the stopping point, we got out and walked for a while until we reached a swimming hole complete with swinging rope and waterfall. SO fun!!! We stayed long enough to let everyone go at least twice then continued on our walk to another waterfall. In that beautiful setting we ate lunch and relaxed. We then headed back to our kayaks which had been hooked up to a motorized canoe and we were brought back to our starting point. I loved this trip....especially the swimming hole and the beautiful foliage along our walk. Definitely a thumbs up!

The tour includes an easy paddle downstream, a hike, a rope swing into a swimming hole, lunch and a motorized canoe ride back. The Hule'ia river provides a smooth ride and spectacular scenery. We took the tour to see the beauty of Kauai with a little adventure, and we had a good time. The guide was fun and knowledgeable. The hiking was easy. The Hidden Valley Falls were small and average but the scenery during the kayak trip was wonderful.
