Overview

A fast and fun wildlife adventure awaits your family aboard our zodiac-style vessels (rigid inflatable boats). This cruise of up to 20 passengers gives you a thrilling 2-hour look at Southern California’s year-round whales and dolphins. With speeds of 30 knots or more, you’ll spend less time looking for animals and more time enjoying them! Your zodiac adventure will have you incredibly close to the ocean’s surface and within arm’s reach of wildlife. At the conclusion of your cruise, you'll receive one of Mrs. Capt. Dave's famously delicious Triple Fudge Brownies. (Some folks love the brownies more than the whales!)

Lovely experience on the high speed zodiac with Captain Gary and Janelle. We saw several pods of dolphins, including one with small calves. We even saw a jubilant dolphin stampeded with some acrobatics. Janelle was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about marine mammals and birds.

Had a great experience with Marie and Janel! Marie guided the boat comfortably and was inviting and Janel was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions,. I really loved that you could really see and hear Janel’s passion, especially when the Risso’s dolphins were spotted and swam around our boat. It was amazing!

This was our fourth trip with Captain Dave’s. Our tour leaders Christian and Hanna did a great job explaining the sea life we saw and did everything they could to find the elusive blue whale. On the way, we saw two pods of common dolphins and spent time interacting with them. Great company with a great team! We’ll be back!
