Overview

A fast and fun wildlife adventure awaits your family aboard our zodiac-style vessels (rigid inflatable boats). This cruise of up to 20 passengers gives you a thrilling 2-hour look at Southern California’s year-round whales and dolphins. With speeds of 30 knots or more, you’ll spend less time looking for animals and more time enjoying them! Your zodiac adventure will have you incredibly close to the ocean’s surface and within arm’s reach of wildlife. At the conclusion of your cruise, you'll receive one of Mrs. Capt. Dave's famously delicious Triple Fudge Brownies. (Some folks love the brownies more than the whales!)

We are a certified Responsible Whale Watching partner with the World Cetacean Alliance located in Dana Point, CA, the Dolphin and Whale Capital of the World®, and the first Whale Heritage Site in the Americas.

What an incredible day out on the water! Captain Jim and Jess were so much fun and committed to doing what they could to find whales! My family and I saw 2 gray whales and countless dolphin! My girls were so excited to see whales for the first time and we look forward to the next time we go out!

First time with this company and I loved it. Didn't see any whales but huge pods of dolphins and it's amazing being so close to the water. The dolphins are literally 3 feet away. The zodiac is definitely the way to go but it can get a bit bumpy. Capt. Jim and Jess were great!

A spectacular experience and morning on the water! It was the first time of me on a Zodiac style boat and what a treat. Fast, low and very stable. Captain Jim and Naturalist Janel were fantastic at getting us to the animals, telling us all about them and keeping the boat in a great position for photographing. if you are looking to get close to the critters, the Zodiac is the way to go! Thank you to the entire team at Captain Daves!
