Overview

A fast and fun wildlife adventure awaits your family aboard our zodiac-style vessels (rigid inflatable boats). This cruise of up to 20 passengers gives you a thrilling 2-hour look at Southern California’s year-round whales and dolphins. With speeds of 30 knots or more, you’ll spend less time looking for animals and more time enjoying them! Your zodiac adventure will have you incredibly close to the ocean’s surface and within arm’s reach of wildlife. At the conclusion of your cruise, you'll receive one of Mrs. Capt. Dave's famously delicious Triple Fudge Brownies. (Some folks love the brownies more than the whales!)

We had captain Daniel and John on our boat with 8 passengers. The experience was absolutely breathtaking - I would do it again in a heartbeat. No whales but lots of other stuff... hundreds of common dolphins. Hundreds. Jumping and chasing the boat - so close you could almost touch them. We saw sea lions, a shark and a swordfish too. We found a pod of bottle nose dolphins including patches. It took my breath away. Amazing experience and i would recommend it to anyone. There’s a lot of luck involved in what you see but the staff are very experienced and the boat is super fast so you cover a lot of area quickly.

Excellent trip, boat is really exhilarating and the wildlife superb. We travelled with a pod of approx 300 dolphins which was awesome! Birds and seals in abundance too, unfortunately on this trip, no whales ,but that’s Mother Nature. Great trip with knowledgeable staff .

3rd time. No whales, plenty of dolphins. The key is to go in cooler months when there is more krill.

It would have been wonderful if we could have shown you some whales, as there are different kinds in the Dana Point area all year long, however nature is unpredictable and we never know what we will see each time.
