Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

My husband and I were very fortunate to enjoy a tour given by Bill Harris. We consider ourselves connoisseurs of historical walking tours, having taken tours across the continental USA and Europe. We can say with all sincerity this was one of the best if not the best tour we've ever had. Bill's education and background provide him with unique qualifications to deliver insights and perspectives that go beyond the surface. He encourages interaction, and makes you feel welcomed into an intimate circle of Charleston insiders. We were both educated and entertained. Highest recommendation.

This company canceled my tour less than 24 hours before it was to take place. Due to the extremely short notice, I was unable to find another tour. Then, to add insult to injury, the company claimed they would refund my fees to me. Supposedly, they were unable to do so through Viator and asked to send me a personal check. They did send a check - BUT PUT A STOP PAYMENT ON THE CHECK. So, they never intended to refund me in good faith. FRAUD!

We met Dennis at the Custom House steps and took a nice stroll through the French Quarter and the East Bay area. He was full of fascinating information and we really enjoyed the tour. I would have given it 5 stars if we could have seen even more. I could have gone for another hour. It was very helpful though and we went back to a couple of the spots later. Well worth it.
