Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

We thought that the tour was excellent. Our tour leader, Bill, really understood the history of everything that we saw and more. He put things into context at every turn. In many ways he made the experience a very good one. The pace of the tour was good as well. I thought that the whole experience was great value for the money. I would highly recommend this tour (and Bill) to others.

My husband and I took a 9am tour with Palmer. To say she is knowledgeable would be an understatement. The tour was great - some history, some architecture, some current information - a bit of everything. The tour kept my attention and gave me a different perspective of Charleston. The only thing I would have done differently was to take it earlier in my trip so I had more time to do things we discussed on the tour (I was leaving the next day).

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and what Charleston currently has to offer. It was a great use of 2 hours in the city. I would highly recommend this tour!
