Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

My wife and I had the Charleston tour with Bill when we visited two years ago. It was so memorable that we contacted Bill ahead of our visit this November and arranged a private tour. The tour was informative, thought provoking and a great complement to our earlier tour. Charleston is an amazing place. Bill’s knowledge and enthusiasm for his city is a great way of understanding how it got that way. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this 2 hour walking tour. Bill was our guide today. He is very passionate about the history of Charleston from the very beginning. Asked a lot of questions and answered a lot of questions. Truly one of the best walking tours I have enjoyed. Covered a lot of ground in 2 hours that didn’t seem like 2 hours. Thanks Bill!

Not my 1st time Charleston but I thoroughly enjoyed Oyster Point Historic Walking Tour! Guiding us through the city Palmer enthusiastically shared her deep knowledge of the Charleston and it's architecture and history. Perfect way to spend a couple of hours - educational and fun. Can't say enough wonderful things about tour guide Palmer Stowe. She's a fantastic guide!
