Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

After a business meeting, I had a few hours to explore Charleston before catching my flight. The 9am tour fit perfectly. Palmer was delightful and full of great Charleston history. The tour was so interesting that I’m planning to come back and explore more!

Our party of four did the two hour walking tour with Palmer and had a great time. The tour was fun and fast paced, full of information and trivia about Charleston that I had not heard on previous tours with other companies. We had Palmer as our intrepid guide to the ins and outs of Charleston and she was awesome! Fast paced, tons of information and very attentive to the queries and needs of our group. Be prepared that it is a steady 2 hours of walking, and a slightly longish walk back to the meeting place. Can't say enough good things about Palmer - bright, friendly, and amazingly knowledgeable about all the local history, sights and culinary options.
