Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

My husband and I enjoyed this walking tour very much! Palmer was our guide and was extremely upbeat and knowledgeable about Charleston's history! It gave us a great over view of the city and helped us to plan out what we wanted to do and see for the rest of our time here. I would definitely recommend this walking tour for anyone visiting Charleston!

We had the pleasure of taking a walking tour through the historical district with Palmer, who gave us a charming, informative and energetic introduction to beautiful Charleston. We learned a lot about the history, accompanied by lots of interesting stories and anecdotes. Palmer gave us good restaurant tips (Brown Dog Deli for lunch) as well as excellent recommendations for interesting sights (Aiken-Rhett House and the Old Mart Slave Museum). Next visit we would love to take their Civil War tour.

My wife and I rate Bill Hall (owner) as the best walking tour guide of several we have taken. A fountain of knowledge, and Bill can drill deeply into just about any topic in answering a question. Comfortable pace, and covers a good portion of the 58 acres of the original Charles Town. If you have any interest in history, or enjoy a guide with passion for his town, do yourself a favor and book a 2 hour walking tour of the original historical district of Charleston. I highly recommend. ***** (5 Star)
