Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

This was such a fun tour! It was my first time to Charleston and did not know the history behind the city. The tour guide was very fun and knew his stuff. Suggestion- go in the early morning to attempt to beat the heat.

Took a Sunday afternoon tour with guide Liz. She was extremely knowledgeable and likable. She kept the tour at a nice pace and made sure to sneak in as much historical facts and evidence as possible without making the tour sound like a lecture. However, I feel like after the tour I don't know a whole lot more about Charleston than I did before the tour. She talked about the bigger picture a lot and put Charleston per se on the back burner a bit. Again, our guide was very nice and kind enough to answer all our non-tour related questions at the end. Worth the $20. Ps: PUT ON SOME SPF!!

We've gone on many walking tours and this is one of the best! Palmer was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable -- always open for questions and she had all the answers! Definitely recommended!
