Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Bill gave an engaging and fun tour. We covered history, economics, geography, ethics, psychology and architecture. He is knowledgable, funny, thought provoking and entertaining. I learned a lot and would enjoy taking another tour with him next time I visit Charleston.

Palmer gave us the best walking Tour we were ever on. She made learning the history of Charleston very entertaining and the time flew by. She also gave us advice on places to visit and where to eat. We were thrilled with all her suggestions.

You cannot go wrong by selecting this two hour tour of historical Charleston and if Bill Harris is your guide then you've hit the jackpot. We knew nothing about the history of Charleston and Bill made it come alive as we walked the streets and listened to what was like a college level history dissertation. We started our visit to Charleston with this tour and it set the stage for the rest of our visit. Thank you Bill for your factual honest presentation about this amazing city. Another plus was he had great suggestions for restaurants.
