This was very expensive for what we got. The food is just okay. I think you get a better value for a Luau. It is hard to sit a large group together glad we were first in line as we were able to grab two tables next to each other (there were 14 of us). The kids got bored as not enough going on. Staff was great. Drinks were just okay kind of expensive. You only get one for how much we paid would not do again.

Aloha CSS9112014, Thanks for giving us a try. We regret always experiences had by our guests that were less than terrific. We want to let every one here on TripAdvisor know some of the details behind this short review. Our Captain Cook Dinner Cruise to Kealakekua Bay is $128 plus tax per adult and $88 plus tax per child. Admittedly, our Deluxe Snorkel and Dolphin Watch is much more entertaining for children. We find kids younger than fifteen typically do not find rich historical narratives engaging, and that is one of our dinner cruise's major features. As far as the cost of our drinks go, here is a breakdown, tax included: 1) Bud Light and Coors Light are $6 each. 2) All other premium beers are $7 each. 3) Mixed Drinks are $8 each. 4) We always put one mixed drink on special, bringing that drink down to $7. Our pricing here is actually pretty competitive. We encourage any potential guests to take a look at the prices of drinks at the local bars in town here to confirm that. We serve an elaborate spread of entrees at our buffet table on board. Kalua pork and cabbage, brisket, glazed chicken, vegetable rice pilaf, lomi lomi salmon, and sweet rolls comprise our meal. In addition, we offer appetizers (called pupus in Hawaii), and a New York Cheesecake for dessert. For vegetarians we offer a delicious lasagna that must be requested at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled tour. All our entrees are made right here, in-house, every day for that day's dinner. But, you can't please everyone. Though we try our best to accommodate all tastes, we still apologize for disappointing this time. Mahalo CSS9112014, The Body Glove Cruises Team

Took my wife and friends from the Mainland on the Body Glove Dinner Cruise. Great historical commentary as we traveled down to Kealakekua Bay. On the way there we found a pod of Spinner Dolphins and got to see them really close up. Jumping, spinning and doing flips all around the boat. The crew and captain were very friendly and helpful. This is a good and worthwhile trip in Kona.

It sounds like you're getting off the boat for a show. You don't get off and it's very boring. Although the staff is very nice and know what they're doing. I wouldn't recommend this tour.

Aloha msdmarti, Thanks for coming on out with us. We're trying to process this review, but we need more information. Who told you you would get off the boat on a dinner cruise? How did you think that would work? We have to say, if your expectations were in alignment with the reality of our tour, we think you might just have had fun. If I were to, say, take a ride in a gondola, but expected something more like a jet ski, I might think the gondola was pretty boring as well, when most people find it to be one of the most romantic things you can do in Italy. Still, we regret the miscommunication, whether it came from us or a local concierge. For the most clarity about our tours, every one should give us a call directly or book with one of our agents at our ticket counters on Ali'i Dr.. We'll make sure you're completely prepared for the tour in every way! Mahalo, The Body Glove Cruises Team
