What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

What a wonderful experience. This was our first time to ride in a hot air balloon. To the owners/pilot and ground crew everyone was so nice and went out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend to anyone visiting the Black Hills.

I took my husband and step-son up for our first balloon ride. Damien and the ground crew were professional and made the trip one we will never forget. From the pre-lauch to post landing, they were concerned with our safety and having a great time. Damien our pilot, was very entertaining and funny. Even before the trip was finished, we were talking about going up again. We had perfect weather and the views were fantastic! I am prone to motion sickness and didn't even get a tiny bit nauseous.

Damien and the oher two pilots and ground crew provided an unforgettable experience from th early morning ride to the launch site throughout the gentle ride above the black hills, houses, animals birds to the gentle landing and the fun post-flight festivities chatter; laughter cheese and crackers and stories. the time was not spent - it was well invested.
