What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

This was a gorgeous view of the Black Hills on a beautiful day where it seems everything went right, from the weather and wind behavior, to excellent piloting by Damien (which totally made you excuse his endless jokes! Just kidding, his sense of humor made the whole trip wonderful). He and his crew obviously love what they do and it shows; could not have had a better experience for our first hot air balloon ride in South Dakota. Thank you all!

This hot air ride could not have been better. An excellent pilot with humorous wit. Beautiful morning views of the Black Hills surrounding Custer. Professional. Fun. Recommended for an adventure of a lifetime!

Tittle says it all. We follow them on Instagram and my wife said this is a must. We were licking to get a spot cause they are busy. Now we see why. Pilot was awesome a views were marvelous. Thank you staff!
