You may spot elk, antelope, deer and buffalo and maybe even an elusive mountain lion. What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

This experience was breathtaking. There are truly no words to describe this adventure. First and foremost, Damien and his crew were wonderful people, it’s was a pleasure to have had them all in charge of our experience. They went above and beyond to ensure we were all happy and comfortable during our time with them. The sweetest people ever. Thank you for being so great. We will tell everyone how wonderful you guys are. A side note: I lost my phone in the field after the ride-Damien and his wife took us personally out to the field, in their own truck, on their own time and looked for my phone-they even found it!! This was nothing they had to do, they did this out of the kindness of their hearts and it truly reflected the people they are. Thank you for helping find my phone and for the wonderful hot air balloon experience. God bless you, your wife, your crew and your company. Memories we will hold in our hearts forever❤️ ☀️ 🎈

My husband and I have always wanted to take a hot air balloon ride. I'm so glad we chose Black Hills Balloons for our first ride. Mike was our pilot and he and the ground crew were great. Funny and professional at the same time. Unforgettable experience!
