What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Our trip left from the Stratobowl and was amazing. We got to see the sunrise from the beautiful Black Hills giving us great views and pictures. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel safe. I would love to do this again!

My husband and I were recently able to fly with this company and it exceeded all expectations. I never in a million years thought a hot air balloon ride was something I would do, but it was amazing. It was an incredible morning of slowly floating over the Black Hills, quiet enough to hear the birds chirping and animals move beneath us. Damien was super down to earth and his commentary and jokes, and in the end, we enjoyed him just as much as the balloon ride. This was an experience we will always treasure, and we highly recommend it.
