Its a lovely ride although the boat really needs some updating - and you cant hear the narrated tour downstairs and you have to go upstairs - unfortunately we went on a rainy chilly day and i was not dressed warmly (not your fault!!) - but we plan to go back in the fall to see the fall colors. I'd definitely recommend this cruise to others!

The river cruise is a good way to learn history about the area & see the river from a different vantage point. The lighthouses were cool to see up close. We saw 3 bald eagles too. Later we drove to some of the historic estates we saw from the river & that was fun too. There is a refreshments counter on the boat & the bathrooms were clean. Definitely worth doing a river cruise if you are visiting the area.

If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing day this is the ticket. We as a family of 6 adults went on the Rip Van Winkle cruise this past Saturday and had a great time. There was snack, cocktails and history lessons. The only thing I would change is the P.A. system, it could have been a bit louder, could barely hear over the engines.(We Sat in the rear) Another thing they could improve upon was handicapped access. Two of my sister have mobility issues and gettin on the boat was fine, but getting off was a bit tricky. All in all we had a wonderful time, staff was great and the trip was fun. It could have been longer, but you can't alway get what you want.
