On one of the last nice weather days of the season, we just had to get out on the Hudson River. It's a nice comfortable cruise with interseting local information given throughout. It would be nice to get a cruise going noth on occasion.

For a pleasant way to spend a couple hours, Hudson River Cruises is a sure bet. Beginning in Kingston, NY, the "Rip vanWinkle" ship cruises south on the Hudson River to Hyde Park and back again. Along the way, the captain shared information about estates and history of the area. The snack bar provided reasonable and tasty sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. At the end of the cruise, we were treated to a fabulous sight of a bald eagle soaring across the sky.
