My husband and I went on this cruise, and we loved it!! Very pretty and informative about the history of the hudson river. We would go again. Had a great time, and the staff were wonderful!!

What I liked was feeling so free and relaxed while it moved effortlessly. What I didn't like was that the engine noise was loud and I couldn't here the historic information the captain was saying at each point. I was in the front of the boat on top/outside to get the best view but I think if you want to hear the historic information, you have to seat indoors.

We were really excited about the Hudson River Cruise that we booked. The concept sounded great because of our interest in the history of the area. The boat was a bit crowded, and we wound up at the stern. The engine noise overpowered the narrator to the point that we could not hear/understand much of anything that was said. A written/digital resource could have compensated for the problem. It was not an expensive ticket so I would have paid more in order to actually hear the explanations about what we were seeing. (The views were beautiful, and Kingston is rich in history.) I did find, after the fact, that there is a narration on the website. Perhaps a downloadable, audio tour with GPS would have worked for the actual cruise. If you go: Get there early and position yourself near the speaker/s if you want to hear narration. If you are only interested in the ride and views, I still suggest NOT being at the stern. TOO loud. Also, bring coins for the parking meter. We were unprepared for "coin fed" meters.
