Overview

Seeing the Sonoran Desert via your own two feet can be very intimate. How often do you get to stand right next to a Saguaro Cactus? Have you ever tried a taste of Cholla Cactus? Did you know there are so many edible plants in our Sonoran Desert?

Our guides can put together a hiking adventure in the Sonoran Desert to fit your vision. From a casual stroll to strenuous, rugged terrain—we have you covered. Have your dog along? We welcome them to join the hike as long as they are leashed.

Want to do a family hike? We can put together hikes that include education and get those little legs moving. If you plan to hike a half day with us plan for three hours of hiking. Our guides will carry water, snacks, sunscreen and first aid essentials.

Piestewa Peak

You will view one of the most recognized summit peaks in Phoenix however it is not a part of this hike.

Hubby and I had a fabulous experience hiking with Laurel. We found her to be knowledgeable, friendly, professionally assessing our abilities as senior citizens, and a very fun lady. We enjoyed the experience so much that we are going on another hike with her, so you can’t recommend higher than that. You will see gorgeous sights, learn about the flora/ fauna, get a bit of exercise, and have fun! We feel we’ve found a treasure with The Wild Bunch Desert Guides!

What a great way to spend Christmas Eve. We did a 1/2 day hike with Matt! Very knowledgeable and fun. Definitely would recommend this company, we were very impressed.
