Overview

Seeing the Sonoran Desert via your own two feet can be very intimate. How often do you get to stand right next to a Saguaro Cactus? Have you ever tried a taste of Cholla Cactus? Did you know there are so many edible plants in our Sonoran Desert?

Our guides can put together a hiking adventure in the Sonoran Desert to fit your vision. From a casual stroll to strenuous, rugged terrain—we have you covered. Have your dog along? We welcome them to join the hike as long as they are leashed.

Want to do a family hike? We can put together hikes that include education and get those little legs moving. If you plan to hike a half day with us plan for three hours of hiking. Our guides will carry water, snacks, sunscreen and first aid essentials.

What To Expect

Piestewa Peak

You will view one of the most recognized summit peaks in Phoenix however it is not a part of this hike.

We loved our hike with Laurel. She was highly energetic and shared many interesting facts about the plant life. We even tasted a teddy bear cactus! The views were spectacular ! Plant life blooming...

Based on good reviews here, I signed up for a half day hike with Wild Bunch. Signup was pretty easy on their website and Laurel, the owner, reached out quickly to confirm and too chat about what kind of experience we were looking for. They will cater to your needs and interest. Met our guide Matt at the trailhead. He was a great guide - knowledgeable, personable and easy to talk with. All important traits especially as we were together for almost 4 hours. Learned a lot about the desert, the vegetation, animals etc. Plus got in a bit of exercise. I recommend and would utilize them again.
