Explore a remote national park less than an hour's drive from the lush resorts of greater Palm Springs. Wonder at the otherworldly plants and rock formations in a unique, and wild desert setting. THIS IS A RUGGED, 4x4 ONLY TRAIL. For those wanting a smoother experience and to see more of the park highlights please consider our Joshua Tree Driving/Van Tour. We don't recommend it for anyone with any back injuries, with any neck injuries, anyone that is pregnant or gets car sick easily. Age limit is 6 years old. This is group tour.
This activity has a 2 person requirement for the tour to run. If you are a single rider, please call first.

We were disappointed in this tour. The five hours consists of four hours in the jeep and about one hour exploring, with the guide talking non-stop the entire time. He was very knowledgeable, but after five hours, we just wanted some silence. We are also more active people, so sitting in a cramped jeep for four hours was just not for us. Also, the entire trip is not off road; we stopped at skull rock and the Cholla Cactus Garden - things we could have done on our own. Take those two stops out and cut this down to three hours, and we would have been more happy. This was the low point of our time in Joshua Tree.

Hello, sorry that the tour didn't suit your expectations! It is indeed primarily a driving tour and it is a mix of on and off roading. Due to the distance between Palm Desert and Joshua Tree we do like to keep it at 5 hours to cover as much of the park as possible. And we do pride ourselves on the information that our guides provide but you are certainly welcome to ask for peace and quiet when needed! :)
