Head out on this a small group tour into Joshua Tree National Park conducted on an exciting enclosed Hummer, SUV or touring Van. Gawk at the amazing contortions of rock that create an amazing landscape of vibrant geologically created colors against the bluest sky in California!

Your expert guide will illuminate your understanding about how this landscape was created and share the stories of the Indians and settlers who lived here.

See the most iconic and most photographed places in the park as well as stop at a viewpoint where you can see all the way to Mexico!

This tour will visit the most iconic locations in the park including it's legendary giant boulders, learn about the forces of the San Andreas Fault that jolt the landscape beneath Joshua Tree itself.

What To Expect

Joshua Tree National Park

We provide you an informative and entertaining tour of Joshua Tree with one of our professional geology guides. We will take some roads where a 4x4 is required where few people will ever see. We also take you to the most photographed places in the park and take a walk in an area where you can find Indian cave drawings and even an old dam left by cowboys long past.

Cap Rock Trail

Explore with your guide enormous rock formations exposed at the Earths surface that were produced by the very forces of the San Andreas Fault miles beneath. Here rocks seem to precariously balance upon one another in a fight between gravity and subterranean forces. A 30 minute optional guided walk is made here.

Intersection Rock

This iconic rock formation is one of the most popular places in the park for rock climbers. Gawk at the climbers as they challenge the perils of the 3rd dimension.

Specifically, we took the Joshua Tree Backroads - Sunset Tour. Not knowing what to expect, we found that our guide, Josh, was there much earlier than the specified time of 1:30 so no waiting. He immediately had a great attitude, great energy, and ready to take us on our adventure. Josh was very informative on the way to and at every stop. As we stopped, he allowed plenty of time for photos and we never felt rushed. Josh's guidance at Joshua Tree was not only informative but he provided great detail. Offering to take photos, suggestions for photos to be taken, stopping for photos. Again, no rush. We did not know what to expect and came away feeling that it was the best tour, worth every penny and then some. When we return to Palm Springs, we might even take the same tour again. After 6 hours, still more to see but the amount of time was just perfect for day out. Seeing the sunset through Joshua Tree National Park was incredible. We HIGHLY recommend this tour. Yeah, it's the big tour and it's a lot of hours, but you will come away with great memories. Josh's knowledge of the areas we were in from beginning to end made it that much better. He's fun. He's funny. He's smart. All enhancing our experience. If you're on the fence about which tour to take, TAKE THIS ONE! You'll be happy you did!

Josh was a great driver and guide. Compared to other off roading Jeep tours in the the SouthWest USA , this didn't inspire me. Basically a one hour drive in and out from Joshua Tree Eureka Peak. You can drive yourself to other such views ,just nit on a sandy road. The communication from tour company was great as they called to inform me of a cold front and suggested additional layers to be worn. Price was good at $99 plus tax.

It seems you purchased our abbreviated 2 hour tour into Joshua Tree. Our regular tour is $189 and begins in Palm Desert. The road we take is certainly a 4x4 trail and many have wrongly ventured in their own cars. If you want to try our most aggressive tour you might also want to consider our San Andrea's Fault tour where we go where most Jeeps must turn around.

We booked the tour for my husbands 60 Th bday. From the start dealing with Bill was great. It was like we we’re old friends and all the bookings went smoothly even when I had to cancel one of the bookings.
