What To Expect
1
Joshua Tree National Park
We provide you an informative and entertaining tour of Joshua Tree with one of our professional geology guides. We will take some roads where a 4x4 is required where few people will ever see. We also take you to the most photographed places in the park and take a walk in an area where you can find Indian cave drawings and even an old dam left by cowboys long past.
2
Cap Rock Trail
Explore with your guide enormous rock formations exposed at the Earths surface that were produced by the very forces of the San Andreas Fault miles beneath. Here rocks seem to precariously balance upon one another in a fight between gravity and subterranean forces. A 30 minute optional guided walk is made here.
3
Intersection Rock
This iconic rock formation is one of the most popular places in the park for rock climbers. Gawk at the climbers as they challenge the perils of the 3rd dimension.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Great day trip with Jeff! He customized our stops based on our group’s interests. And Jeff was very knowledgeable about science, geology, history and local culture.

If I could rate this tour 6 stars I would. I cannot stress how informative and enjoyable my experience was. I had the opportunity to take the backroads tour. Slightly more $$ but worth every single penny. My tour guide was Bruce. You would have thought you were with an expert geologist / nature enthusiast. Bruce was FANTASTIC. He took the time to explain all the details of the various places we visited (Joshua Tree National Park, the surroundings, the Windmills). He was able to point out the different animals around, the rock formations and ground makeup, and various trivia bits like where the name Joshua Trees comes from (they're not technically trees!) The hummer was very comfortable. Plenty of opportunities to take photos, and he was gracious enough to capture a few photos of me with my camera. I like that this tour is on the smaller side, and able to accommodate solo travelers if you check in with them (some tours have a minimum headcount required). The bonus stop for dinner at the end was perfect - great way to interact with the local community. I can't wait to do this again.

Josh picked up our group from Palm Springs and then we immediately went to the Cochella Valley Preserve. From the moment we joined the tour to when he dropped us off, he was telling us about the area, the history, and showing us the local sites. He was very personable, connecting with each member of the tour. We enjoyed the beautiful sites. The oasis, the San Andreas fault area, and Joshua Tree National Park have a beauty all their own. We would definitely recommend the tour.
