What To Expect
1
Joshua Tree National Park
We provide you an informative and entertaining tour of Joshua Tree with one of our professional geology guides. We will take some roads where a 4x4 is required where few people will ever see. We also take you to the most photographed places in the park and take a walk in an area where you can find Indian cave drawings and even an old dam left by cowboys long past.
2
Cap Rock Trail
Explore with your guide enormous rock formations exposed at the Earths surface that were produced by the very forces of the San Andreas Fault miles beneath. Here rocks seem to precariously balance upon one another in a fight between gravity and subterranean forces. A 30 minute optional guided walk is made here.
3
Intersection Rock
This iconic rock formation is one of the most popular places in the park for rock climbers. Gawk at the climbers as they challenge the perils of the 3rd dimension.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Our guide Josh made this excursion both exciting and educational. We explored the desert valley where palm trees grow in an oasis created by the San Andreas fault, then stopped at a cute little town to switch vehicles and take a break for a snack. Once we were in the open air hummer, we went off pavement onto dirt roads to climb into the mountains. Joshua Tree National Park is huge, and I feel we got to see a good variety of terrain as well as plant life while there. Climbing ever higher as the afternoon went on, I could feel my ears adjusting to the increasing altitude (but not uncomfortably). The hummer seats were very comfortable and I felt very secure riding up high in the very back (with a good seatbelt of course!) We could clearly hear Josh describing things as we rode along, as he used a microphone that rose above any engine noise. Many questions were thrown at him, and he always had facts and knowledge to answer them all. As the sun was going down, so was the temperature; but blankets were at the ready to keep us warm and cozy. When we reached the tallest point in the park, we were treated to a spectacular sunset over the mountains. A multitude of colors surrounded us in a 360 degree radius. Words do not do it justice! Plenty of time was given to admire it all and take photos. When everyone was ready, we headed back down the mountain with some beautiful music to help us absorb the entire experience. This is a “must do” for anyone wanting to explore the various ecosystems of the desert in a unique and fun way. Great for all ages! 👍🏻

This was hands down the best tour I've been on! My mom and I went on my birthday weekend and it was so special. George had great communication before the tour to confirm our pick up time and our agenda to include dinner at the end of the day. We were scheduled for the sunset tour and I feel it was the best time to see Joshua Tree National Park. The golden light plus feathery clouds was a perfect glow and sky setting for photography. When George picked us up, he and I started talking about Gram Parsons and the music celebration that was happening at The Joshua Tree Saloon which we were going to stop by on our way to dinner later in the evening. George then thought to really personalize our tour of Joshua Tree after spectacular views at Keys View and visit Cap Rock, Gram Parson's memorial site. It really made my day! Along with our tour experience, George drove us through the desert, a palm oasis high and low desert and San Andreas Fault. He shared his knowledge of desert history at each stop, geological and scientific facts and taught us interesting differences of palms and plants that native Americans used. He also has a great sense of humor and is really easy to be around which made the day very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this Hummer Tour to anyone of my family members, friends or a perfect stranger. You will not be disappointed. Best, Teneille and Kathy

Jeff was a great guide, lots of stories and very knowledgeable about the area. We were the only people in that section of the park and didn’t see another truck all day. We had a fantastic day!
