No-bag policy. If you have medical needs that require a carry on, please note at time of booking. All bags brought to base will be stored in the tour office until you return from your flight
Dress warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!

ADA - We have an ADA lift that assists guests with getting in and out of the helicopter. If guests use the ADA lift, they will be required to stay inside the helicopter on the glacier. While on the glacier the pilot-guide will open the doors so guests can still take in the sights, sounds and smells. The ADA lift has a weight restriction of no more than 250 lbs. You MUST notify Coastal Helicopters if you will be requiring the ADA helicopter lift.

We were originally booked for the dog sledding and glacier landing tour, but due to low clouds we could not do the dog sledding and still opted to go up to Herbert Glacier and have a walk on top, it was really amazing being so close to this majestic sight. We had an amazing time, thank you Coastal also for processing the refund so quickly for the difference between the dog sledding excursion it was in my account in record time.

I live in Juneau and have a friend in town. Taking a helicopter ride was her treat to herself and I joined her. We lucked out on having a great day to go - and then lucked out again to have a really interactive and helpful pilot, Robbie! I've done two or maybe three glacier tours by helicopter in Juneau before and Robbie was, by far, the best guide while on the glacier. Other pilots have just stood by the plane while we all wandered around not knowing what we were seeing. He showed us the coolest (get it?) things to see on the part of the Herbert Glacier where we landed, and made sure we got photos taken and questions answered. The ground crew was also very nice and helpful, and there were enough staff that you could find someone to help you if you needed it. Another A+ flight with Coastal!

This was the best excursion we ever took. Mitch was a great tour guide/helicopter pilot. The weather was fantastic the views were perfect. This was a once in a lifetime event. It was amazing landing on the glacier. Bring a collapsible cup with you so you can drink the clear, cold water from the glacier. Highly recommend this tour.
