No-bag policy. If you have medical needs that require a carry on, please note at time of booking. All bags brought to base will be stored in the tour office until you return from your flight
Dress warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!

ADA - We have an ADA lift that assists guests with getting in and out of the helicopter. If guests use the ADA lift, they will be required to stay inside the helicopter on the glacier. While on the glacier the pilot-guide will open the doors so guests can still take in the sights, sounds and smells. The ADA lift has a weight restriction of no more than 250 lbs. You MUST notify Coastal Helicopters if you will be requiring the ADA helicopter lift.

Got a recommendation from a local that Coastal was the best helicopter outfit in town and I am so glad I took their advice. Everything was five star and professional. The courtesy pickup and drop off was in a comfortable and clean van driven by a staff member who had lots of great ideas on how to spend time in town. Our pilot doubled as our tour guide on Herbert Glacier and along with a lot of great general knowledge about glaciers he also was able to show us amazing blue pools and small streams of running glacial water. Ice boots that fit over normal shoes were provided, ask ahead before you arrive what attire would be appropriate although they do have jackets if you need an extra layer. The helicopter itself was comfortable and the view absolutely spectacular. The price of the tour might seem steep at first but it’s an absolute value considering the spectacular experience you get when standing on top of a majestic ice field. Can not recommend it enough!

Must do this in Juneau. The helicopter ride was breathtaking and smooth - it was first helicopter ride for my whole family and we loved it. Our pilot (Kelix) was personable and interesting. Landing on a glacier and being able to waljk around it, drink glacier water and explore the features was once in a lifetime. My wife cried it was so moving for her. The pilot was great for explaining the features and helping us feel safe and comfortable exploring on the glacier for a little while.
