Overview

Our general tour! Meet our Dock Rep at your cruise ship dock and board our courtesy shuttle. Enjoy a scenic ride to the Auke Bay boat harbor and return (about 25 minutes each way). A complimentary stop at the Brotherhood Bridge for a view of the Mendenhall Glacier is available before or after each tour depending on that day's schedule and weather. Enjoy the difference of a personalized tour! About 4 hours and 15 minutes. This 4 hour and 15 minute tour includes approximately 1 hour of round trip transfer time, 3 hours of whale watching/sightseeing cruise, walking on the dock to the boat, and bathroom breaks.

We took a tour on a 13 person boat, piloted by Captain John. He not only found multiple whales in several different spots, but let the other whale watching boats know where they were. He was very careful to maintain the appropriate distance from the whales, and the naturalist (Ian) did a fantastic job of filling us in about the local flora, fauna, and geography. We learned a tremendous amount about the life cycle and migration and feeding habits of the humpbacks. Highly recommended!

From the first phone call with Harv & Marv's, to the end of our Whale Watching experience, it was excellent and I would highly recommend to everyone. Loved the small boat and small guest count experience which made it more personal. The staff, from the representative that met us at the cruise ship, to the Captain and the knowledgeable onboard staff were the best ever! Would highly recommend and do again!

Captain Graham had us on whales within three minutes of leaving the dock. It was a great time and educational. He was very thorough on his safety briefing and explaining what to expect from our time on the water. I would go again and would request Captain Graham if possible.
