Overview

Our general tour! Meet our Dock Rep at your cruise ship dock and board our courtesy shuttle. Enjoy a scenic ride to the Auke Bay boat harbor and return (about 25 minutes each way). A complimentary stop at the Brotherhood Bridge for a view of the Mendenhall Glacier is available before or after each tour depending on that day's schedule and weather. Enjoy the difference of a personalized tour! About 4 hours and 15 minutes. This 4 hour and 15 minute tour includes approximately 1 hour of round trip transfer time, 3 hours of whale watching/sightseeing cruise, walking on the dock to the boat, and bathroom breaks.

I took my 86 year old mother on the whale watch and she was not gung ho on the idea, but after the trip she loved it! The captain of the boat did a great job of finding the whales and lining up the boat so all could get a good view, even my mom who remained seated. In addition to whales we saw porpoises, bald eagles, and seals sunning themselves.

Being in a smaller boat in big water can be intimidating at first. We are glad she felt safe with us and was able to have a great time. This is such a special experience to share with your mom. Thank you for sharing it with us as well!

Harv and Marv Captain Gabe and Assistant Drew Collins gave us the most amazing tour! They drove to and identified the precise spots in the vast ocean for our enjoyable view and presentation, then pointed out the behavior to identify, preparing us for the whales breaching in a spectacular demonstration of strength and splendor. We saw FIVE whales! This was our 2nd Harv and Marv excursion. Highly recommend!

Chose this trip after reviewing all of the different options and glad we did, five of us on the boat with Captain Liz who was great. We have been Whale Watching several times in different places and this was the smallest boat we have been on - breaking my usual rule of not going on a boat smaller than the Whale! However, it was a great trip and a different perspective being slightly nearer the sea level. The real spectacle was that we were lucky enough to follow a group of about a dozen humpback Whales bubble net fishing which was truly extraordinary, a real privilege.
