I chose Harv and Marvs based on their reviews here on Trip Advisor. Trust me, all these rave reviews are well deserved! I have gone whale watching 12 times or so in Alaska over the years. My number one goal was to be able to cross off bubble net feeding on my bucket list. On the morning of July 24th, 2018 I was able to do that THREE times! Captain Brandon first found a group of 6 orcas. Shortly thereafter he took us to a group of 12 humpbacks. His naturalist Drew (knowing my heart's desire) was quietly telling me "watch the birds, they are an indicator." After that things happened really quickly. Sure enough the birds swooped down and the humpbacks burst through the surface of the ocean. It was magical. We were blessed to see this another two times. Brandon and Drew were an amazing team. Brandon was continuously mindful of the rules regarding safe observing of humpbacks, e.g., distance maintained as well as time limits. Drew knew the behavior of the birds as well as the whales. He excelled at his job. As I said earlier, I have gone whale watching many times in Alaska. This was hands down the best company I have ever gone with, period!

Wow! This makes us very proud. So glad to hear about this dream trip, Cathie. Seeing orca and multiple rounds of bubble netting is unbelievable. Thank you for choosing us and allowing us to help check things off your bucket list. Please come adventure with us again someday!

We booked with Harv and Marvs after hearing great reviews from friends and family. This was our favorite excursion of our cruise! Captain Liz was fun and informative. We saw plenty of Humpback and Orca whales up close. We were blessed with a beautiful clear evening. It was actually warm. We would highly recommend this company for small group whale watching!

Warm evening, orcas, & humpback whales?! Sounds like you hit the jackpot! Thank you for adventuring with us this summer. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

The number of whales was not as great as a previous tour in 2011. We did not get close enough to the whales that we did see (certainly not as close as other boats and not within 100 yards). The boat positioning was not ideal for photography. The most frustrating thing was that our tour (9-12) was cut 15 min. short so another group could go out at 12!
