Kauai Shore Excursion: Journey to Waimea Canyon

Overview
In stark contrast to Kauai’s lushness is Waimea Canyon State Park. Over thousands of years earthquakes and erosion have created dramatic variation in the landscape. Waimea Canyon, “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, is the showpiece of the tour and offers one of the best views of the western coast of the island.

My wife and I had never visited Waimea Canyon in the few times we visited Kauwai. Why did we wait so long! It was such a beautiful tour with a great tour guide/driver, Michelle. Great narration all along the way to Waimea. Stunning views, plenty of time to explore the blow horn, and the canyon. She even made a surprise stop on Kauwai Coffee estate because everyone was back on the bus in timely manner. SO...it pays to respect your fellow tour guests and be on time. Enjoy the tour and thanks, Michelle!
