In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

This was an amazing trip!! The crew was so knowledgeable and friendly. The boat ride was quick. We had MANY Manta rays swim right up next to us!! It was absolutely amazing!! It is a small group (6 of us in total). The small group setting made it even more perfect!! They prepped us before leaving by asking us to not touch the mantas. You could hear other tour operators nearby lecturing their customers about not touching them. Our guy treated us like an adult, asked us not to touch them, and then we were on our way. Super great trip!!

We went during the 630 show and while fun, we were a bit disappointed since we only saw two manta ray. There were 4 “fly by” as they call them but we were under the impression we would see a lot more.

Thanks for joining us Heidi. I know how frustrating it can be after hearing and reading about how great this tour is and then to have only a couple of mantas show up. I can tell you that every night is different and every tour is different when it comes to how many mantas you will see. Mantas are wonderful, intelligent creatures and while they know where the buffet line is, they also have a mind of their own and come and go when they please. I wish we could add the mantas to our payroll to make it the same experience for everyone. That being said, we do appreciate your support and would be happy to work with you if you would ever like to try your luck out with us again. So incredible!!!! Even though cannot touch the manta with my hands, a few would swim right up and brush against me. We had a view to the bottom of about 7 mantas swimming around. The diver/guide was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed his educational commentary. This was a once in a lifetime experience!
