In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Based on the good reviews posted, I booked this Manta Ray night snorkel for my 20th wedding anniversary celebration on the Big Island. 4 hours before our scheduled activity, this company canceled on us. They claimed that a “glitch” in their computer system allowed a private party to book the entire boat so they have to cancel my family. I had already paid for it over 5 weeks in advance and received confirmation from Viator(owned by TripAdvisor). I don’t believe that excuse and think the private party probably paid this company a lot more profit than my family. I would not be so upset if they had given my family more advanced notice so we can find another tour company. As it was during Spring break and with such short notice, all the other tour companies were fully booked that day. My wife cried because we were very excited for this once a lifetime opportunity for us. I was able to find another company for this same activity the next day (they were the only one left with an opening); but we had to pay more than double the usual prices. With my wife laid off since last year due to Covid, our budget is extremely tight but I’ll work a second job if I have to in order to make her happy for putting up with me for over 20 years. With this very bad experience from this company Hawaii Island and Ocean tours, I will never trust this company again and hope they will never do this again to anyone else.

This was fantastic! I like this company because they only take a max of 6 people at a time and it was a quick 5 minute boat ride to the site. The manta rays were unbelievable! Hands down this was worth every penny!
