In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

What an idea.. to use a floating board to hang onto while you enjoy the ocean floor activity. Manta rays plenty, other different types of fish too. The crew was very helpful and took good care while we enjoyed the aquatic show!

Thank you! We try and make it easy for guest's. Put on a mask and snorkel. Wiggle into your wet suit. Hop into the ocean, kickback, relax and watch the incredible underwater show beneath you. So glad you could join us and hope to have you back out again soon.

Experience of a lifetime!! to be able to just lay afloat and watch the ocean floor with mantas coming close enough to touch you!! The hlaf hour went by quickly as we watched plenty of manta rays swim past us , coming really close to be able to whip us with their tails and even graze us with their fins, see through their mouth and gills. Plenty of other fish to see as well!

Well organized and affordable tour for snorkelers only, with only 6 members on the boat. Mantas came in so close!— but don’t touch! Likeable and helpful staff worked to help get a good fit on the wet suits and when in the water helped move the light board and 6 people to best viewing possible. Captain concerned that we see plenty of mantas and I felt we did. Wave surge was really challenging for my husband who is sensitive to motion. He really appreciated the ginger candies before and the ginger tea afterward! It was chilly on the ride back but the ride is only 5 minutes to the dock so not bad at all. They did let us bring a towel to share which helped. Tried to give us some info about the mantas but I didn’t catch much as we were looking in the water with water splashing about our ears and on the boat the sound of the engine made it hard to carry on much of a conversation. The mantas were lovely! So glad we did it!
