In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Just amazing to be in the water with these creatures, and they make it so easy (almost too easy). Ola was in the water with us and was awesome, but everyone part of this crew was super nice, friendly, and willing to talk story with us before and after. Thank you all!

This is an incredible experience. Mantas gently move around you. You feel completely safe and honored to be around these huge animals. The harbor is only a 5 minute boat ride to where the Mantas are. Bring an underwater camera or rent a go pro from this company. Don't go to big island without doing this.

The manta rays touching us was so surreal! Cool, gentle animals. Must do when you go to big island. Highly recommend Simon and his crew at Hang Loose!
