Such a awesome experience! I was hesitant because I am not a fan of open water or cold water but I booked it mostly for my son ! From the moment we got there everyone was so friendly! They provided us with everything we needed from wet suits to snorkel gear ! The kid in the beginning walked us through everything and our captain and guide were professional and on time ! Our guide was hilarious, and really got the mantra rays to come out to us we had 4 directly under us and touching us the whole time ! This is something Iā€™ll never forget! They provided us with snacks and hot drinks after! Only thing I would say that could have been done differently was to let us bring our towels on the boat for after we got out of the water for our ride back because I was so cold I was legit shaking!

Everyone we know who has visited the Big Island told us this is a must do and they were right! It was so beautiful and so powerful to be so close to these gentle and giant sea creatures! They came so close they brushed against us! The staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Make sure if you get seasick to take your Dramamine though. We had some big swells that night and a few of us struggled toward the end.

The most amazing experience! I would say absolutely put this on your list. It doesnā€™t take more than an hour and itā€™s amazing. One concern is the lack of masks during covid. They said there was no place to put them on the 5 minute boat ride but they easily couldā€™ve provided us all a plastic bag to put them in. If youā€™re concerned, bring your own. Even the boat operator didnā€™t have one on. Also, might be too scary for little ones. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the mask situation.

Happy to hear you had a good time. Due to sanitation precautions we do not allow guests to place their contaminated face coverings on any surface which another guest may be at risk of touching. Agreed, if you're concerned, you may like to bring a small bag to place your mask in while you are in the water. Our company strives to be sustainable and does not provide single use plastic materials.
