In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

The tour is awesome and the price is right; by far, one of the coolest things we’ve done. The staff are super knowledgeable about the rays and are attentive!! The rays come within centimeters of touching you. Such an amazing experience. You will of regret it!

This was an absolutely once-in-a-lifetime experience! Where else can you swim with the giant, beautiful and graceful Manta Rays? Our Captain David, snorkel guide Dylan and assistant Brie made this a fun and easy outing. We received a good briefing on what to expect, how to participate and all the pertinent details before donning a lightweight wetsuit and getting into the boat. Very short ride of about 5 minutes and we were in the water, holding onto a surfboard with side handles and underwater spotlights. Within seconds, several Mantas were visiting and scooping up the plankton attracted to the lights! They came within inches of us, totally graceful and harmless! Even if they do accidentally brush you, there's no danger. They are truly beautiful and amazing and being in the water with them is a fantastic experience! This is a must outing for everyone who enjoys marine life and diving or snorkeling.
