In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Small group was the best. Guide works to find perfect location and set up a bottom light as well as a light on the board. Manta rays made many passes. The company provides everything you need. Wear the wet suit, lying still you can cool down. It is also great to be close to the launch as you are chilled after even on a warm night.

Easy to access adventure with Kona's manta ray population. Haley did a great job with shore prep with experienced and newbie snorkelers, offering heaps of cool data about the mantas. Then a 2-minute boat ride to the site, so easy on anyone worried about seasickness. And then magic for 40 some minutes while the mantas feed just below the lights. They swim breathtakingly close, so be ready to be wowed.
